Here’s my music advice for the week. You must check out Viva Radio. I found it through the American Apparel website, making me reconsider my boycott of their clothes. They also have some great pictures of Obama, McCain and Hillary. sidenote: I can’t believe Bill married Hillary back then. It must have been love, because love is blinding.
Part of me doesn’t want to like Feist on account of the fact that everyone I know loves her, but straight up the girl can sing and write.
It also helps to have Patrick Daughters as your music video director.

This is the greatest mathematical representation of rap. I’m madly trying to piece together all the references, but love the Mike Jones, Beastie Boys and David Banner inside jokes.
How did I not know about Nickatina til now? I feel like I’ve put an important piece of the indie hip hop puzzle together.
Hype Machine tracks music blogs and brings it all together for us. If you want to seem like you know what’s up in the scene, but don’t have time to go to every damn show that comes to town then just check their most popular section and you’ll seem cool,
Chalked Up magazine is not only helping to promote music but also supplying great podcasts.

I can’t enough of the music blog Missing Toof. I first got turned onto them when they profiled some local DJs from the 1/2 Alive crew that i follow, but since then I’ve been checking back daily. If you want to seem cool and know what the hottest track, bands and remixes are then just follow this blog and their blogroll. This is of course assuming that you like dancing in grungy Eastside bars and are down with ghetto-tech, electro-clash, nu rave and the whole Baltimore scene.
